Going to high school

Dear Friends,
Through God's gracious hand of supreme networking, we have an open door on Tuesday. We will be sharing with four English classes in high school number 9 how we celebreate Christmas in America! Please pray for us as we put the program together, and pray with us that many of these teenagers will come to the English camp the church will be hosting through Josiah Venture. Praise God with us as well for this opportunity. Pray also for a good relationship with the teacher(s) that we come into contast with there! =) Sarah Jean

Kids Prayer Boxes

We just finished the video about Poland for our kids prayer boxes and will be sending them out right after Christmas. We are so excited to get more kids praying for Poland and see how God uses their prayers in the ministry here! If you have not yet signed up, they are intended for 1st-6th graders in SS classes, Christian schools, and homeschoolers. Pray with us that these kids will remember to consistently pray for Poland! =)

Handicapped Ministry

Praise God for the open door with the handicapped ministry! Please remember us this Friday as we go out to their Christmas festival. We praise God for the warm welcome they have given us and look forward to serving the parents with teaching conversational English! Praise God with us for this open door, and pray with us as we look to the New Year and this new ministry! Sj

Team retreat

This coming weekend our team will meet with the other team at a camp in the center of Poland to have meetings and enjoy one anothers company. Please pray for safety in travel and good fellowship! Praise God with us for a couple and one single who are on survey trips, and plan to join the Szczecinek team once they have their support!

Follow-up meeting for the Luis Palau Outreach

We had 22 guest at the follow-up meeting and 11 believers. Please continue to pray for those people that made a decision, that they would be involved in a bible study that will be offered.

This Saturday

Praise God for His faithfulness in walking with us! God showed me a lot during the Luis Palau outrech meetings, and I am thankful for the example of believers who are more mature than me, showing me how to walk after Him more fully! Please pray with us about the upcoming "Next Step" meeting. 51 people signed up to come! We will watch the movie "Most" which means bridge. It is a great example of how God has given His Son so that many can be reconciled to Him! Pray that even more than 51 people will come. All 167 people who attended these meetings last week were given invitations for this Saturday's meeting. It will begin at 5pm Polish time which is 10am central time. We thank you! Sarah Jean

Luis Palau Evangelistic Meetings

Thank you for your prayers! The Luis Palau evangelistic meetings were well received. Many people were interested in learning more. There will be a follow up meeting on Saturday, so please continue to pray that the Lord would be at work in these lives.

Thanksgiving

Please be praying for us as we are planning who we will invite over to our houses for Thanksgiving. The holidays are always a great way to share God's love in practical ways, and people are more open about spiritual topics.

Thank you all for your faithful prayers. The church meeting went well on Sunday, although there remain some issues to be worked out among the leadership. Please continue to pray for unity. We have another meeting scheduled in two weeks.

Church Meeting Postponed

The church meeting that we asked for prayer for was postponed until this coming Sunday. We are trusting God's timing for this meeting. Please keep praying!

Church Leaders Meeting

Praise God that we have men in this church plant to lead! Please now pray with us as UNITY is needed to go forward. Please pray for "Marty (one of the leaders)," who seems to be oppossed to changes, church growth and development. Pray that the church guiding counsel will go forward in unity.

The pastor over all of the churches in the area will be here Thursday evening for a meeting. Please pray with us that God will untangle things and change us in this process. Pray that we will be unified in love. John 17:21

Youth Group

Praise GOD for how well youth group has started off! Continue to pray for Kasia as she leads! Every Friday evening at 6pm Polish time we meet. Pray for Tomek who has started to come to some events. Pray that God will capture his heart and bring him into relationship with Himself! Tomek is a law student. Pray that he will become a person who will bring righteousness into law making and court decisions! Thank you for joining with us on this venture to be Christ's hands and feet in Rzeszow, Poland! Sj

Michal

Please pray for the salvation of Michal (me-how). His parents Mirtek and Krystyna attend the church plant here in Rzeszow, but Michal has a hard heart and desires to live life according to his own rules. He is 18. Pray that God will capture his heart, no matter what lengths He may have to go to.

We had another English camp meeting on Saturday and there were about 15 people who showed up. We thank the Lord for those that came. We are planning on having a conversational English class every other Thursday. Pray that this would be a good time to get to know the students on a deeper level.

OCTOBER 1st - 31st

PRAY WITH US THROUGH THIS MONTH!

1- Pray for the church as it develops. Pray for unity in love to reign.
2- Pray for the salvation of Tomasz and Gosia, Tadeusz and Ela, friends of the Hostetlers.
3- Pray for Adam and Ania, our new pastor and his wife. Praise God that they have their support!
4- Pray for the L. Palau outreach in Premysl on Nov. 13th. That seed will be cast and harvested!
5- Pray that God will increase the number of people praying for Poland!
6- Pray for the English camp reunion today! Pray for Sarah's friends Ania and Marta to desire to know Jesus.
7- Pray for the harvest celebration at church today and that we as a church will follow after God more faithfully! Praise Him for His constant provision!
8- Pray that Yarik and Irina will grow in the fear of our Lord!
9- Pray for the beginning of our English class for the students from the summer!
10- Pray for the L. Palau meeting in Debica on Nov.14. Pray that the speaker will be led by the Holy Spirit!
11- Pray for the next church plant; for a place, leaders, and wisdom in this process.
12- Pray for the L. Palau mtg for the poor and homeless. Pray that God will work and change lives!
13- Pray for the L. Palau outreach for women on Nov. 17th. Pray that they will understand His great love!
14- Pray for the L. Palau mtg for the parents of the handicapped on Nov. 18. Pray that they will find true rest.
15- Pray for Paul and Lucyna, the main organizers of the L. Palau outreach.
16- Pray for the handicap home we want to volunteer at, that God's love will be evident.
17- Pray that we will know how to integreate and connect with our communities.
18- Pray fir the L. Palau mtg Nov. 15 for those who received Operation Christmas Child boxes.
19- Pray for Jack our area boss as he visits this weekend, that he will give us wisdom in our work here.
20- Pray for our joint church service the 21st, inspiring us to bring many to the L. Palau mtgs.
21- Pray for the L. Palau mtg for businessman on Nov. 18. Pray Jesus will be their treasure.
22-Pray that our team will work together well, and that we will communicate well.
23- Pray that we will not have to pay federal taxes in Poland, and that the laws will be clear.
24- Pray for our Polish to get better, and that language will not be a barier in friendships.
25- Pray for the church planting council as they plan the spring pastor's conference.
26- Pray for the L. Palau mtg on Nov. 16 for students, that they will hear and follow after truth!
27- Pray for the L. Palau mtg Nov. 17 for teachers. Pray that their lives will be transformed!
28- Pray for the L. Palau mtg for couples on Nov. 17. Pray that God's news will bring them joy!
29- Pray that our kids prayer boxes will stir many hearts to pray for Poland!
30- Pray the the evangelist will be strengthened and led into much prayer before the L. Palau mtgs.
31- Pray that blinders will be taken off as we have the outreach mtgs Nov. 13-18. IICor. 4:4

Oct. 21

Please pray with us for a motivational speaker for the 21st of October. This is when we will be having our joint church service in preparation for the Luis Palau outreach Novemeber 13-18. There have been a handful of closed doors already; pray that God provides the PERFECT person to fill this place!

Church development

We thank you all for partnering with us to bring about a church planting movement here in Poland! Please continue to lift up the current church plant's development. We are hitting some bumps in the road, but we are thankful that issues are coming up now and not later down the road. Please pray for unity among the members at church, and that God's love will Lord over all decisions and all things that proceed from our mouths as we discuss the development. Praise God that nothing is too difficult for Him, and that through prayer, all of these issues will be untangled!
